What does all this PL-L 40W/35/RS/IS, FT40DL/835/RS, PL-L 36W/835 stuff mean?!
Plug-in base CFL bulbs are coded by each manufacturer differently but they
are essentially the same thing with two major differences, wattage and
color temperature. In this category there are essentially four wattages: 18, 24, 36, and 40 (Use Links to filter results) and three color temperatures 3000, 3500, and 4100 (Use Links to filter results). Other wattages and color temperatures are available... we're making it simple here!
Plug-in Compact Fluorescents have a non-integrated ballast, which means they
are used in sockets with specific ballasts wired to the leads. Most lighting fixtures with a plug-in compact fluorescent light bulb are specifically wired to use a particular wattage bulb. To get your CFL Ballasts click here! All the high lumen compact fluorescent bulbs have the
same base 2G11. These bulbs are primarily used in commercial lighting
applications such as recessed troffer fixtures.
