ADA as it pertains to Lighting Fixtures (Figure 1): Objects projecting from walls with their leading edges between 27” and 80” above the finished floor shall protrude no more than 4” into walkways, corridors, passageways or aisles. It is a fact that the ADA lighting requirements gave birth to some unlovely designs. Our job has been to design lighting fixtures that meet the ADA requirements and yet compromise nothing in terms of quality and design. We have over 3 dozen sconces that meet ADA requirements and are labeled with an ADA icon in the catalog.
