Block Lighting has a multi-tiered approach to what we do:

SUPPLY – When a state university is going through its routine maintenance of re-lamping the schools dormitories over the summer break Block Lighting was able to deliver thousands of the parts it needed on time and below the current state pricing schedule.

RECOMMEND – Perhaps the easier part of what we do is recommending fixtures and different bulbs to meet the customer's specified objectives. The industry is always evolving and we stay on top of those changes from T8 to T5 fluorescent technology and even LED recessed troffers.

RETROFIT – Faced with rising energy costs as well as commodity costs one state Department of Transportation looked to Block Lighting to help upgrade it's High Pressure Sodium street lighting to newer LED fixtures. We supplied the retrofitted LED decorative post top lights, cobrahead street lights at the most competitive prices on the market we also arraigned the installation. RECYCLE – When a municipal school system had thousands of spent fluorescent bulbs stacking up in it's different school buildings Block Lighting was able to work with the city school maintenance supervisor to develop a plan to pick-up and recycle all its spent mercury waste and keep it compliant with EPA Title 40.

SUPPLY – A regional commercial property management company had over 120 different locations with their own billing and shipping specifications as well as it's own list of lights from high pressure sodium to fluorescent and halogen bulbs, fixtures and ballasts used at each location. Block Lighting stepped up and lowered the firms maintenance expenses, removed an entire department by streamlining a lights list with a location number given to each manager which survives turnover, and worked with tenants on behalf of the property management to help the clients of the firm achieve their desired look and feel. RETROFIT - When a commercial property management company needed to find a suitable light fixture replacement for their 9^th floor parking deck Block Lighting was able to retrofit from older Metal Halide light fixtures to newer vapor tight T5 fluorescent fixtures... providing more light, twice the bulb life and lower maintenance costs. All this at half the competition's price.

RECYCLE – When a multi million dollar corporate campus started it's recycling program it turned to Block Lighting. We were able to assess what the company needed and provide a cost effective solution that didn't tie up personal with cumbersome EPA regulations and bulb crushing. SUPPLY – When a large hospitality management company needed to consolidate the purchasing of lighting equipment they turned to Block Lighting. With the help of the engineers at each location we were able to create a custom catalog for the company, and price the company as a whole rather than individual small buyers.

Most of the lamps used in the hospitality industry contain mercury, a regulated substance, which must by law be recycled (EPA Title 40). Industrial

Industrial customers have some of the most unique needs when it comes to lighting. In most cases their lighting systems are either really old... or are the newest on the market. Either way we've been serving industrial customers such as nuclear power plants, food processing facilities, shipyards and many others since our founding in 1992.

SUPPLY – Not every customer calls and orders several hundred pounds of Emergency batteries or needs pallets of low pressure sodium bulbs transported on their shipping accounts... but Block Lighting specializes in working with procurement officials to guarantee that all expectations are met, period.
